Head of Tennis Role

We are seeking a talented leader to join our organization as the Head of Tennis.

This key leadership position involves delivering strategic initiatives to strengthen the capability and capacity of Tasmania's delivery network of tennis clubs, coaches, and regions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead partnerships with club networks, regional associations, and coaching communities to deliver participation programs and provide excellent customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain participants in tennis and foster a culture that is welcoming, safe, inclusive, and aligned with organizational values.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to create clear participant journeys from first hit to ongoing engagement.
About YouRequirements
  • Tertiary qualification in business, sport, or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
  • Proven leadership experience in participation growth, sport development, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of community clubs, regional associations, and coaches' challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience building capability within volunteer and professional-led environments.
  • Ability to drive operational delivery, manage resources, and monitor measurable performance outcomes.
  • Experience managing grants or investment programs and evaluating outcomes.
  • Regional engagement experience and commitment to supporting all parts of Tasmania.
  • Positive Working with Vulnerable Persons (Children) check & National Police Certificate (mandatory).
