Healthcare Support Position

We are seeking a skilled and approachable individual to join our team as a healthcare support specialist. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in medical reception or a related field, looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:

  • Assist patients and visitors with inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing bookings.
  • Coordinate with referrers, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including billing, payments, and data entry.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients warmly and create a positive first impression of our practice.
  2. Process bookings, billing, and payments accurately and efficiently.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate appointments and results.
  4. Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in healthcare reception or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and practice management systems an advantage.

This is a Monday to Friday position, rostered between 6:30am and 6:00pm with no weekends. A National Police Check will be required for the successful applicant.
