Government Relations Coordinator

The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations Coordinator to join our Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team in Sydney on a permanent full-time basis.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support for stakeholder management, including data management and reporting, and research briefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the policy landscape and prepare briefings for team members
- Manage the Industry and Business Memberships register and assess requests for new memberships and renewals
- Provide research assistance to the Government Relations team on Parliamentary inquiries, representatives with an interest in energy issues, and commentary on public policy developments
- Assist with research, preparation of presentation and briefing materials for Executive stakeholder engagements
- Support the implementation of the Government Relations strategy, management of engagement data, and reporting
Your background:
- University degree or equivalent research-based public policy qualification or experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment, in the public, private, or not-for-profit sector
- Experience and confidence in liaising with diverse stakeholders
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working with database management systems
- Highly developed organisational skills and discipline
