Job Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting internal customers and programs on Environmental and Health & Safety processes, issues and regulatory compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting internal customers and programs on Environmental and Health & Safety processes, issues and regulatory compliance.
  • Performing inspections and audits, investigating incidents and providing advice regarding corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
  • Coordinating the development and maintenance of EHS Management Plans in accordance with company requirements and international Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
  • Preparing EHS reports for program and functional leadership.

 

Requirements
  • 5 or more years' related work experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Ability to travel to support various program facilities and deployment locations.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in implementing and supporting risk management processes within high-risk work environments.
  • Knowledge of and experience in implementing ISO 45001 & ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience conducting in-depth safety investigations within complex organisations (ICAM trained desirable).
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, and experience in interpreting and presenting EHS data to a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS contractor management requirements.
  • Energy, passion, problem-solving ability with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
