Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as an Employment Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals to secure sustainable employment opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the referral and intake process of job seekers into our programs.
  • Assess job seeker skills and abilities, identify barriers, and develop intervention strategies to support their employment goals.
  • In consultation with job seekers, develop tailored work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, and employment support activities.
  • Reverse market job seekers to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use computer systems and maintain accurate data records.
  • Build rapport and grow/maintain relationships with clients, peers, and job seekers.
  • Enjoy achieving KPIs in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening check or be willing to obtain one.
