Job Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of a 24/7 travel and medical operations department. This role is responsible for managing all end-to-end functions associated with operational claims management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management: Oversees claims processing, ensures complex cases are well managed, and maintains compliance with relevant codes and legislations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures team compliance with licensing requirements, general insurance code of practice, and regulatory guides.
  • Customer Service Focus: Drives a culture of excellent customer service delivery and ensures superior service is provided to clients and their customers.
  • Team Leadership: Provides guidance and leadership to team members, supports leadership in problem-solving, and empowers team leaders to drive measurable results.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develops and implements operational systems, processes, and objectives to drive operational efficiency and external cost control.

Requirements:

  • Previous Claims Operations leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills when dealing with all levels of staff and individuals external to the organisation.
  • Displays exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills, maintaining continual control over job duties delegated.
