Are you ready to lead in one of Queensland's most dynamic forensic mental health teams? A unique opportunity exists for a Senior Clinician to join the Therapy Service of the Community Forensic Mental Health Service.

The successful candidate will work at the intersection of mental health and public safety, delivering high-impact therapy and consultation services across North Queensland.

About the Role

  • Deliver formulation-driven therapy and evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Conduct complex forensic assessments and provide responsive, person-centred therapies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treating teams across Townsville, North West QLD, and Mackay to support continuity of care
  • Provide consultation-liaison services to Hospital and Health Services
  • Mentor and supervise less experienced clinicians
  • Lead training and capacity-building initiatives across mental health teams

  • Four-year Psychology degree (Honours or Graduate Diploma) and registration with AHPRA
  • Class C Driver's Licence
  • Willingness to travel across Townsville, North West, and Mackay regions, including occasional overnight stays and travel via small aircraft or ferry

Postgraduate qualifications

  • Experience in forensic mental health or working with complex clinical presentations
