Mental Health Clinical Program
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network.
About the Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of mental health services to consumers in the eastern region of the CALHN Mental Health Clinical Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical services to mental health consumers, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of safe and effective mental health services.
- Engage in research and continuous professional development activities to stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Specialist qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
- Demonstrated ongoing participation in continuing professional development since attaining specialist qualification.
