About the Role

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Programme Director - Consultant Psychiatrist to oversee the specialist psychiatry training program for Trainee Medical Officers (TMOs) within CALHN.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in guiding TMOs through each stage of their journey towards becoming Fellows of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

As the Training Programme Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the training program, managing six-monthly rotations, providing ongoing support to trainees and supervisors, and ensuring that training and education opportunities are optimised for successful completion.

You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the RANZCP, to uphold accreditation standards, monitor trainee progress, and support trainee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the training program, ensuring it meets RANZCP standards and guidelines.
  • Manage six-monthly rotations, ensuring seamless transitions between training sites and providers.
  • Provide ongoing support to trainees and supervisors, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the training period.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the training program aligns with network priorities and objectives.
Requirements
  • Specialist registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Strong commitment to RANZCP training goals and trainee wellbeing.
  • Proven leadership, clinical excellence, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of RANZCP regulations, quality improvement, and safety standards.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $365,798 - $496,351 p.a. (pro rata), depending on experience and qualifications.
