This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Minister in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in providing advice on policy, administrative, and political matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic advice and support to the Minister on media, communications, and other related issues.
- Maintain effective relationships with other Ministerial Offices and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to achieve whole-of-government objectives.
- Liaise with journalists and other key stakeholders as required.
- Monitor and analyze media and communication developments to inform advice and strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in providing advice on complex policy and administrative matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with varied constituencies.
- Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment as part of a team.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian parliamentary and political system.
- Ability to rapidly acquire a sound knowledge of the structure and functions of the portfolio.
- Proven reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.
- The successful applicant will be offered a commencing salary between $109,788 and $162,021, dependent on experience and relevant skills.
- An additional Personal Staff Allowance of $34,223 is payable.
- An employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% will be payable.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
- Comply with the Ministerial Staff Code of Conduct.
