Bulk Freight Operations Manager

A supervisory opportunity exists for a seasoned operations professional to coordinate branch activities and lead staff.
We seek an individual with high-level management skills who can foster teamwork, ensure workplace health and safety policies are adhered to, promote a culture of respect based on company values, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with your team to optimize freight loading and unloading efficiency;
- Allocate resources to minimize costs and meet performance targets;
- Supervise the loading and unloading of freight to ensure safe and effective storage;
- Contribute to a safe working environment and ensure employees perform tasks they have been trained to do;
- Identify and initiate employee training where necessary;
- Communicate with your team, supervisors, and customers to meet agreed schedules and escalate issues;
- Follow all Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions;
- Respond to incidents, hazards, and damages without delay;
- Adhere to relevant laws and legislation, including load restraint guidelines and road laws;
- Previous experience in transport industry management;
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods requirements, Load Restraint requirements, and relevant transportation Acts and Regulations;
- Able to follow company policy and ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
