Tanker Maintenance Project Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the compliance and maintenance of our LPG and cryogenic tanker fleet. This pivotal national role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our tankers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on tanker maintenance processes and project management, with experience in the industrial gas or LPG industry. They will be responsible for developing and managing the procurement of new tankers or their equipment, ensuring the spares inventory is maintained and critical parts are readily available.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team to review the design of new and existing tankers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the compliance and maintenance of Supagas' LPG and cryogenic tanker fleet
  • Develop and manage the procurement of new tankers or their equipment
  • Ensure the spares inventory is maintained and critical parts are readily available
  • Support compliance with Dangerous Goods (DG) bulk transport regulations
  • Work closely with the engineering team to review the design of new and existing tankers
Requirements
  • Considerable experience in tanker maintenance within the industrial gas or LPG industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related Engineering discipline are highly desirable
  • Practical experience in project or maintenance management involving bulk vehicles
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics, focusing on risk management, governance, and compliance
