Catering Assistant/Barista Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Team Member to work on a casual basis at our Woodside Mia Yellagonga Café in Perth City.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have strong coffee culture background and be professional and energetic, with experience in producing quality coffee and other hot and cold beverages. They will work effectively at a fast pace during peak times while ensuring a high standard of service, and maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a range of food and beverage items, including specialty coffees, teas, and snacks;
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of hygiene and presentation;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues efficiently;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve sales targets and meet customer expectations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry;
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices, and ability to maintain a clean and hygienic environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers;
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
