Specialist Cognitive Care Professional

We are seeking an experienced specialist to deliver high-quality care to patients with complex cognitive and behavioral challenges that affect diagnosis and require tailored interventions.

About the Role

This role involves conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, preparing detailed clinical reports, managing cases, and offering evidence-based treatment recommendations to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.

  • Conduct in-depth neuropsychological assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized intervention plans.
  • Prepare thorough clinical reports to inform treatment decisions and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage complex cases requiring specialized care and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
  • Offer expert advice on treatment planning and recommend interventions to support patient recovery and wellbeing.
  • Develop comprehensive management plans to address patient needs and promote long-term health outcomes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master or Doctor of Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology qualification.
  • AHPRA registration with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Significant experience in performing neuropsychological assessments, treatment planning, report writing, and providing clinical feedback.
  • Proven skills in case management and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in assessing and diagnosing neuropsychological syndromes in complex settings, including drug and alcohol comorbidities.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of cognitive rehabilitation and provide effective treatment recommendations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse patient populations, including those with neurological disorders, psychiatric conditions, and medical complexities.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with Aboriginal patients, families, and communities to improve health outcomes.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to use for work purposes.
