Data Leader

The Senior Manager, Data Governance and Operations role is a critical position that oversees the design, implementation, and operation of data governance frameworks within an organization. This includes key areas such as data quality, data classification, data compliance, and metadata management.

This leader will work closely with the Enterprise Data team, IT group, and other business units to deliver data capabilities required for achieving business objectives.

• Data Governance Framework: Design, implement, and operate the framework covering key areas such as data quality, data classification, data compliance, and metadata management.
• Data Operations Framework: Design, implement, and operate the framework together with the Enterprise Data team.
• Championing Initiatives: Champion the implementation of key data governance-related initiatives including Consumer Data Right (CDR) capabilities.

• Degree or Certifications: Relevant business, quantitative, or IT-related degree or certifications will be advantageous.
• Experience: Broad experience in data management functions, including data governance, data quality management, data lifecycle management, document and records management, etc.
• Financial Services Experience: Experience within financial services will be beneficial.
• Data Governance Setup: Direct experience setting up and implementing a data governance function.
• Influencing Resources: Demonstrated ability to align and influence resources, including those from other reporting lines, senior stakeholders, and external partners.
• Global Industry Best Practices: Knowledge of global industry best practices for data management.
• Regulatory Requirements: Good understanding of data and analytics-related regulatory requirements and challenges, ideally within financial services.
• Candidate Must-Haves: Experience in implementing Consumer Data Right (CDR) is highly desirable.
