We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Vessel Operations Manager to join our Resort Activities team at Lizard Island Resort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service and safety on our resort vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate resort vessels, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective vessel maintenance and repair programs to ensure optimal vessel performance and safety.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Resort Activities team, ensuring seamless delivery of guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of resort operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, staff, and external partners.
Requirements
  • Master 24 and MED II certificate.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in managing marine vessels and passengers.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of shipboard safety with a detailed knowledge of Australian Marine legislation and best practice.
  • Extensive experience and skill in marine engineering, particularly in remote locations.
  • Queensland Workplace Health and Safety At Sea (Elements of Shipboard Safety).
  • VHF Licence / LROCP ticket.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (QLD Recognised).
  • Provide Advanced Resuscitation & Oxygen Therapy Certificate.
  • First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • Dive Master/Dive Instructor certifications.
  • Recreational fishing/tour guide experience.
