Job Title: Cruise Ship Deckhand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deckhand to join our team at Precruitment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance, operation, and safety of a vessel. This includes cleaning and maintaining the deck, handling ropes and lines during docking and undocking, and ensuring that all safety equipment is in working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate boating equipment such as ropes, wires, and mooring lines
  • Handle ropes during docking and undocking procedures, including throwing, catching, and securing lines
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the boat
  • Assist guests to safely embark and disembark off the boat
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure good working order
  • Be aware of, perform, and adhere to Workplace Health and Safety policies/procedures and in-house policies/procedures
  • Ensure excellent and professional client service by being courteous, welcoming, and informative, answering customer questions, and providing information
  • Use strong and effective communication methods with staff and guests
Requirements
  • PADI Divemaster Qualification
  • Master V
  • MED II
Additional Attributes
  • Knowledge of the Reef
  • The ability to consistently be a part of a strong vessel crew delivering outstanding experiences to our guests
  • Strong communication skills
Salary and Benefits

$60,000 - $70,000 based on experience
