Key Business Development Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to drive sales and expand our market presence in the compost sector.

About This Opportunity

This is a key business development role within a leading organisation that specialises in sustainable resource recovery and transforming organic waste into high-quality compost products.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across sectors such as agriculture, mining rehabilitation, local government procurement, transport infrastructure, and landscaping.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including farmers, agronomists, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with market needs.
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients regarding compost applications and soil health benefits.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth strategy of the organisation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the agriculture, environmental services, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of compost products, soil science, and sustainable farming practices.
  • Established network within the agricultural sector, including connections with farmers, agronomists, and industry bodies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
