Expert Retail Leasing Specialist

This role involves managing a high volume of leasing matters across Australia and New Zealand, including new store openings, renewals, variations, and other property-related agreements. The successful candidate will provide clear, commercial advice that supports the business in delivering its growth strategy.
Role FocusThe Retail Leasing Lawyer will work closely with the property, commercial, and executive teams to deliver results-driven solutions.
Work Environment- A fast-paced commercial environment with multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong experience in retail leasing law, ideally gained in both private practice and/or in-house settings
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and draft retail leasing documentation with precision and commercial awareness
- Sound knowledge of relevant property legislation, including the Retail Leases Act and other state-based leasing frameworks
- Proven track record in managing multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business units
- Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia with at least 3–6 years of post-qualification experience
