Lead Horticulturist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Horticulturist to lead our maintenance team in South East Queensland.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of planting and grounds maintenance, as well as perform leadership duties. This full-time permanent opportunity is located on the North side of Brisbane.

Our organization has been a leading provider of commercial landscape management services for over 37 years. We manage large-scale infrastructure and open space assets across multiple states and various market sectors, delivering high levels of service through innovation, horticultural expertise, and technical asset management capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train team members in best practices for landscaping and grounds maintenance
  • Audit, record, and report on team performance and project outcomes
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Driver's license (manual) and MR vehicle license (preferred)
  • Construction Induction (White) Card and relevant certifications in Horticulture or Arboriculture
  • Experience in Landscape Maintenance and a passion for improving the environment
