Public Areas Attendant Role

This exciting opportunity is for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Public Areas Attendant at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre.

The resort offers a unique blend of coastal luxury and playful charm, with over 370 stylish rooms, a sparkling pool, a lively lagoon perfect for water sports, and various dining options. Our world-class Convention Centre hosts up to 1,500 guests and is a sought-after destination for major Australian and international conferences and events.

We're looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented to help maintain the high standard of presentation across our public spaces - creating a clean, welcoming environment for every guest, every day. Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and maintaining public and back-of-house areas in line with hotel standards.
  • Supporting stocktakes and ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning products.
  • Following all safety and hygiene procedures when handling cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Assisting with housekeeping tasks including room cleaning, houseman duties, laundry, and uniform areas.
  • Responding to guest and team member requests promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on guest service.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining presentation standards.
  • Flexible and reliable, with availability to work across a rotating seven-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
