Panel Shop Foreman Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Panel Shop Foreman to oversee our panel shop team, allocate work, and ensure high-quality repair and restoration of trucks and vehicles.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the panel shop team, ensuring they work efficiently and effectively to meet production goals.
  • Assign tasks to the panel shop team members, considering their skills, strengths, and workloads to optimise productivity.
  • Report directly to the Production Manager, providing regular updates on the status of ongoing projects, team performance, and any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in weekly walkarounds of the workshop with the Production Manager to assess progress, identify challenges, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Take images of work in progress and upload them to the job record, ensuring records are kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant parties.
  • Identify and report any additional parts or materials required for ongoing jobs to the Production Manager to prevent delays.
  • Assist in upskilling the panel shop team by providing training, guidance, and mentoring to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure repairs and restorations meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a trade qualified individual in panel beating or a related field with strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality work.
