Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management Specialist to join our Advisory team at Marsh in Melbourne.

This hybrid role will involve working at least two to three days a week in the office, providing OHS consulting and risk management services to Marsh clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site visits to provide OHS support and guidance
  • Advise clients on compliance with OHSMS and legislative requirements
  • Coach and mentor client stakeholders on OHS best practices
  • Operate a telephone and email advisory service for clients
  • Complete technical risk assessments and reporting
  • Develop and deliver OHS training programs
  • Review and develop OHS management systems and documents
  • Undertake OHS site audits and other support services as required
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal reports and advice to clients

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a relevant field
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in OHS advisory or a related role
  • Experience working with government organizations is highly regarded
  • A sound knowledge of OHS legislation and current issues in OHS
  • An understanding of risk management principles and their application in WHS hazard management
  • A Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training is desirable
  • Exemplar Global OHS auditor accreditation is also desirable
  • A current driver's license and vehicle are required
