About the Opportunity

Daifuku BCS is a global leader in material handling automation, with a presence in over 13,000 locations worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Erskine Park, Sydney.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth operation of materials handling systems and onsite infrastructure by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs.
  • Diagnose technical problems using advanced fault diagnostic systems and equipment knowledge.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to prevent equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to restore system functionality.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless system operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance and repair.

About You

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician who can contribute to our team's success. The ideal candidate will have:

A trade qualification in the mechanical industry, such as a certificate or diploma.Prior experience working through preventative maintenance schedules and resolving technical issues.Strong knowledge of fault diagnostic systems, processes, and equipment.Experience with mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting, pneumatics, and hydraulics.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
