About the Role

CBRE is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team in Lane Cove.

This role forms part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

  • We are looking for a 2nd Year Apprentice with a Mature Aged Air-conditioning & refrigeration Trade Certificate III.
  • The successful candidate will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights.
  • This is a full-time opportunity with a maximum term.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive training from experienced engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
  • Observe engineers performing ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Work with management to ensure energy efficiency by implementing measures to verify that all systems are operating at optimal levels.
  • Inspect new or existing installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Follow established procedures when performing repetitive tasks or job activities.
  • Impact through methods, tasks, and duties that are clearly defined and followed with minimal discretion.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
