Housekeeping Attendant Job Description

The role of the Housekeeping Attendant is a vital one, ensuring that hotel rooms are consistently clean and well-maintained to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Anticipate and promptly attend to guests' needs and preferences.
  • Clean and service allocated rooms to the highest standards within the designated timeframe.
  • Ensure guest supplies are replenished and controlled efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance issues requiring attention to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to established Housekeeping policies and procedures set by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance at all times.
  • Inform the Housekeeping Office immediately of any unusual situations or incidents.
  • Report potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor without delay.
  • Greet guests with politeness and courtesy, providing a warm welcome.
  • Attend departmental communication, training, and information meetings as scheduled.
  • Comply with all operational policies and procedures outlined in the Team Handbook.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and practice workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
  • Offer assistance to other departments as required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisors.
