Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary of $1,731.76 - $1,984.91 per week, plus superannuation and agency fees. In addition, you will enjoy a 35-hour working week, modern office facilities, and access to a range of health and wellbeing programs.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and generating proactive media and promotional opportunities, managing our relationship with the media, and delivering timely and effective communications campaigns.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in writing for government or executive media and communications
  • Highly developed written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in media and communications

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of government processes and a network of media contacts. You must also be willing to work flexibly, including after hours and on weekends as needed.
