About the Role
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) stands as a premier entity, leveraging the strengths of both BHP Billiton and Mitsubishi. As part of the largest diversified resources company globally, BMA oversees multiple mining operations and a port in Central Queensland. We are currently seeking proficient and experienced multi-skilled operators to fill roles across our open-cut sites.
Available Roles Include:
- Dump Truck Operators (CAT 797 and 793)
- Ancillary Operators
- Excavator/Shovel Operators
- Loader Operators
- Dozer Operators (D10/D11)
Key Responsibilities:
In addition to a strong commitment to safety, essential qualifications for this role encompass:
- A demonstrated dedication to maintaining a safe and environmentally sound workplace, including adherence to high safety standards, equipment maintenance, and compliance with site protocols.
- Solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience in equipment operation.
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and a willingness to learn new digital and technological skills.
- A proactive approach to contributing ideas aimed at problem-solving and enhancing existing processes and tools.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current skills in operating water trucks, graders, and/or dozers.
- Experience with excavators or electric shovels is highly regarded.
- An unrestricted 'C' Class Driver's license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proven track record of effectively integrating into new teams and fostering teamwork.
