Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated midwife with expertise in obstetric care and clinical research to contribute to the South Western Sydney Obstetric Research Group. This opportunity allows for enhanced specialist skills, participation in meaningful research, and involvement in multidisciplinary education.



Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting clinical research activities within obstetric services by collecting blood samples and swabs, and assisting in accommodating higher patient volumes for research purposes.
  • Contributing to ongoing research activities and the growth of the biobank.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to identify and respond to care needs.
  • Evidence of critical thinking in delivering evidence-based midwifery care.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license, including P1 or P2. If you hold a NSW C-class license from another state, you must obtain a NSW C class license within three months of appointment.
