About The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated midwife with an interest in obstetric care and clinical research to join our South Western Sydney Obstetric Research Group. This role offers an opportunity to enhance specialist skills, contribute to meaningful research, and participate in multidisciplinary education. The role involves clinical research activities to support high-quality maternity care across the district, including collecting blood samples and swabs and accommodating a higher volume of patients for research purposes. Recruitment to this position will support ongoing research activities and contribute to the growth of our biobank.

Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and engage with patients/consumers, families, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and respond to care needs.
  • Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking in the delivery of evidence-based midwifery care.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). If the license is from another state, obtain NSW C class (P1 or P2) within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
