Family Therapist Role

We are seeking a Family Therapist to join our team in the Therapeutic Recovery Community. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding of human behavior.

About the Job

This position provides assessment, treatment planning, individual and family counseling, case management, and implementation of programming for residents in the Therapeutic Recovery Community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting residents in identifying, understanding, and overcoming personal and family problems, as well as promoting community values.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess resident needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and family counseling sessions
  • Conduct group sessions and evaluate program success
  • Participate in staff meetings and case conferences
  • Role model behavioral expectations and provide feedback to residents
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or psychology. They should also have experience working with families, the Therapeutic Community Model, intergenerational trauma, and drug and alcohol dependency. Additionally, training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT would be an asset.
