As a growing team, there is ample room for you to continue developing your practice, with professional development and consultations available with our Allied Health team and our Centre of Excellence in Deafblindness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation, behaviour support planning, and staff training to individuals with complex needs.
- Develop and implement behaviour support plans that promote positive outcomes and quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Behaviour Support, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, Disability, or other relevant field.
- Registered with relevant professional body (e.g. AHPRA/AASW).
- Demonstrated skills and experience to meet the Proficient Capability - Behaviour Support Practitioner as outlined in the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission – Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
- Experience providing training, supervision, and support to diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the State Disability Services Acts and National Quality and Safeguards Framework as they apply to restrictive practices and behaviour support.
