Programmed Energy and Resources, a leading provider of workforce solutions in Australia and New Zealand, is currently seeking motivated candidates for an exciting opportunity to undertake a Heavy Equipment Operator Traineeship with our esteemed mining clients in the Hunter Valley region.

The role involves working on a 12.5 hour rotating roster, averaging 43.75 hours per week, including every second weekend. This unique opportunity allows you to develop your skills and experience in heavy equipment operation while working with a great team that prioritizes safety and excellence.

About Your Role:

  • This 24-month full-time permanent position offers a competency-based traineeship leading to a nationally recognized qualification, Certificate III - Surface Extraction Operations
  • Locations are available throughout the Lower and Upper Hunter Valley NSW
  • You will follow a 12.5 hour rotating roster, including days, nights, and weekends

About You:

  • A safe and productive work ethic is essential for this role
  • You must hold a current Car P2 drivers' licence or higher and be confident in driving a manual vehicle
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including nights and weekends, is required
  • You will need to provide two recent work referees
  • A local residential address is necessary, as this is not a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) role
  • You will be required to attend interviews at our Singleton Office
  • A full Order 43 Coal Services Health medical and D&A Test will be undertaken
  • Please note that an RMS driving record will be requested if invited for an interview
