Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter/Technician to contribute to our expanding operations. If you have a passion for mechanical work and want to make a significant impact, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine examinations to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform fault diagnosis and testing on heavy rail equipment.
- Maintain and repair installed rail systems effectively.
- Comply with safety regulations and procedures.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on maintenance activities and identified issues.
- Operate and maintain workshop machinery.
- Follow instructions to complete tasks efficiently, showcasing both teamwork and independence.
- Carry out general workshop duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Trade qualifications recognized in Australia, such as Cert 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in pneumatic systems.
- Willingness to work shifts as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Rolling Stock, Aviation, or Mining is a plus.
Work Environment: This position is based at our state-of-the-art Maintenance Facility, offering opportunities for career advancement within a global leader. Compensation and conditions align with the current Enterprise Agreement.
Shift Details: The role initially involves day shifts starting early in the morning, transitioning to a dynamic 24/7 roster to support work-life balance.
