Maintenance Optimization Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Optimization Lead to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering maintenance optimization projects for various rollingstock systems to support overhaul programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project governance on maintenance optimization and maintenance strategies.
  • Define project deliverables, timelines, and optimization benefits.
  • Lead a small team to deliver programs of maintenance optimization.
  • Use a risk-based approach to review overhaul schedules and challenge scope and frequency of works.
  • Evaluate SEMS requirements, OEM requirements, and contractual obligations for maintenance plan delivery.
  • Drive a collaborative approach in the review and approval of various stage gates of the program delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and overhaul planning teams to define scopes of work required for overhauls.
  • Support the Engineering Manager to ensure contractual technical requirements are met, including technical performances, RAMS (Reliability – Maintainability – Availability – Safety items), through maintenance optimization.
  • Interface with subject matter experts globally to obtain information on various systems.
  • Write technical reports, risk assessments, and lead the change management process.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on progress updates of the program delivery.
Requirements
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage your time effectively and be 'delivery focused.'
  • The demonstrated ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • A sound understanding of risk and risk-based decision making in an operational environment.
  • Significant experience in maintenance optimization, ideally within Rail/Rollingstock or a similar heavy industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering are preferred, but not essential.
