This position reports to the Operations Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Displaying teaching competence and commitment to a student-centered approach in classroom, workplace, simulated, and online learning environments.
- Leading and managing effective teaching and learning activities, including flexible, blended, and inclusive learning techniques and products responsive to various student cohorts.
- Designing, developing, and implementing assessment tools and processes that meet industry skills standards to ensure accurate and reliable assessment results.
- Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality of training and assessment provided to students, as well as contributing to planning, design, development, implementation, and review of educational programs.
- Undertaking general administration duties, including monitoring student attendance and progression, facilitating access to educational support, and providing effective feedback and advice.
- Contributing to the success of transformation and cultural change by promoting and modeling established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on Our Customer, Showing Initiative, and Taking Responsibility.
The ideal applicant will possess the following key capabilities:
- Possessing skills and knowledge of national training packages and accredited courses to support competency development and responding positively to individual needs.
- Demonstrating capacity for initiative, self-management, teamwork, and sustainable practice, with the ability to accept, promote, and manage change through well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrating commitment to self-development, focusing on maintaining skills contemporary to industry and teaching practices, and using educational technologies and Learning Management Systems to support learning.
- Possessing sound knowledge of safe, equitable, and anti-discriminatory work practices and demonstrating ability to be flexible, inclusive, responsive, and deliver quality student experience.
- Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
- Bachelor of Nursing degree.
- Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
