Network Infrastructure Deployment Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Deployment Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure & Deployment (NIDD) management team, you will be responsible for managing a group of technicians who install cabling and build network rack capacity for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure high performance.
- Deliver capacity to existing Data Centres and help build and bring online new Data Centres.
- Improve all processes and procedures to drive efficiency and quality.
- Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Liaise with internal teams and management groups to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centres.
- Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilize those metrics to drive positive changes.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
- An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, including 3+ years in people management experience.
- Incident and vendor management experience with Security and Health & Safety awareness.
- Proven ability to drive and manage metrics/KPI's with a high degree of organization and detail-orientation.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio, and Power Point).
- Network build planning and budgetary experience.
- Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.
- Ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with Data Centre server rack and network infrastructure.
