Network Deployment Manager, Network Infrastructure Design

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Deployment Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure Design team, you will be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of passive and active network solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of technicians and engineers to install cabling and build network rack capacity for our customers.
- Deliver capacity to existing Data Centres and help build and bring online new Data Centres.
- Constantly improve all our processes and procedures to ensure the highest levels of performance.
- Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Liaise with internal teams and management groups to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centres.
- Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilize those metrics to drive positive changes.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
- An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, of which 3+ years in a people management experience, building and managing technical teams.
- Incident and Vendor management experience with Security and Health & Safety awareness.
- Proven ability in driving and managing metrics/KPI's with a high degree of organization and detail-orientation.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio and Power point).
- Network build planning and budgetary experience.
- Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.
- Ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
- Familiarity of Data Centre server rack and network infrastructure.
