About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Yarwun Refinery Operations. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical assets across the refinery, troubleshooting equipment failures, and identifying defects to provide feedback on asset performance and health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain mechanical assets across the refinery, focusing on unplanned breakdowns or plant limiting work, troubleshooting, and problem-solving equipment failures
  • Identify defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health
  • Conduct confined space and working at heights activities
  • Work autonomously and reliably while positively contributing to the maintenance team
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives
  • Promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes, and behaviors
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
Requirements
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
  • Current valid C Class drivers licence
  • A Mechanical or Fitter & Turner trade qualification
  • Proven history of fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on various fixed plant equipment
  • Proven maintenance experience working in heavy/industrial industry
