Job Summary:

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team.

  • Plan, manage and review the care and maintenance activities of war graves in Western Australia and provide specialist operational support to other depots as directed
  • Supervise a range of horticultural maintenance activities including professional turf care, maintenance of garden beds and shrub borders, pruning, recognition and treatment of plant diseases and pests.
  • Engage, train and supervise staff in the State or Territory
  • Liaise with other staff, cemetery authorities, members of the public, ex-service organisations and others as required

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Horticulture and a current drivers licence with no restrictions. They will also be able to demonstrate an ability to represent the Commonwealth as an official at international and national fora and have an understanding of military commemorative services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain the high standard of war graves
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

**Eligibility:**

  • Australian citizenship is mandatory for this role
  • Background check is required
  • Certificate III in Horticulture is preferred
