Job Title: Horticulture Professional

This role provides technical, administrative and customer service support to the Streetscape Horticulture Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage horticulture contracts to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert advice on horticultural issues to stakeholders.
  • Conduct asset audits and oversee landscape upgrades to enhance visual appeal and functionality.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings and identify potential hazards in outdoor spaces.
  • Process purchase orders and authorize invoices for program expenditures.

In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A diploma in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Conservation Management or Landscape Construction, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong contract management and customer service skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to conduct thorough audits and manage assets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook and operating systems.
  • A valid Australian driver's license to conduct site visits and transport equipment.
