We are seeking a highly effective and skilled Classroom Educator to join our team at MacKillop Catholic College, Warnervale. This is a temporary full-time position for the current term.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be a passionate and skilled Science Educator who is committed to the ethos of the Catholic School. They will have suitable qualifications as a Science educator and the capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement engaging and motivating learning environments that cater to the needs of all learners.
  2. Analyse and reflect on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.
  3. Manage and facilitate safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices.
  4. Contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community.
  5. Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
  6. Utilize technology to enhance student learning.

Requirements
  1. Highly effective and skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School.
  2. Suitable qualifications as a Science educator.
  3. Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement.
  4. Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices.
  5. Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data.
  6. Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments.
  7. Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
  9. Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning.
  10. Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification.
