Senior Maritime Structural Project Manager

As a seasoned maritime structural engineer, you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions for large-scale multi-discipline maritime facilities across various industries. Working within our National Maritime Team, you will contribute to the design and planning activities for defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects such as nuclear powered submarine facility upgrades, clean energy initiatives, boating infrastructure development, and port and wharf modernization. You will apply your existing experience in structural design, reinforced concrete, and steel to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, evaluate, and report on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures including wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, pontoons, etc.
  • Develop and implement berthing and mooring systems
  • Utilize structural analysis software such as SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica to ensure compliance with Australian and international design codes and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with local governments, port clients, and Defence sector stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Drive innovation within the team, providing supervision, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
  • Project manage and/or design manage large maritime projects or teams within larger multidisciplinary projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in civil or structural engineering, with tertiary degree qualifications and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status. Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance is also required.
