Are you passionate about improving lives through positive and evidence-based approaches? We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis.

This role involves working closely with participants, families, and support networks to assess needs, develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and implement proactive strategies that enhance well-being and reduce behaviours of concern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
  • Develop, implement, and review Positive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to provide person-centred supports.
  • Provide training and guidance to support staff to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to track progress and outcomes.

We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who has a strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and restrictive practices requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
  • Recognised qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or similar.
  • Current or provisional registration with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and restrictive practices requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
