Part-Time Behaviour Support Practitioner – Ballarat, VIC

Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis. You will work closely with participants, families, and support networks to assess needs, develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and implement proactive strategies that enhance well-being and reduce behaviours of concern.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and review Positive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide training and guidance to support staff to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications
  • Recognised qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or similar.
  • Current or provisional registration with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and restrictive practices requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
