Overview of the Role

We are currently seeking highly skilled Electrical Engineers to join our team at Byrnecut, a leading full-service underground mining contractor. As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our underground mine reticulation systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical installation and maintenance, with experience working on high-voltage systems up to 1000V AC. You will be responsible for performing scheduled electrical maintenance, statutory testing and inspections, as well as troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults and breakdowns.

Job Description

As an Electrician at Byrnecut, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining electrical equipment and infrastructure
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records of electrical work performed
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:

  • A New South Wales Electrical License or ability to obtain one under mutual recognition
  • Current and valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
  • High Voltage switching experience is highly desirable
