Key Responsibilities- Provide industry feedback to a multidisciplinary team to achieve on-ground adoption of improvements in irrigation practices, leading to greater efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with the team to engage industry stakeholders, exploring the impact of irrigation on Tasmania's agricultural soils.
- Work closely with colleagues to prepare and disseminate information about relevant knowledge through various media channels.
- Assist the research team in guiding farmers to relevant information and tools, helping translate knowledge to support on-farm adoption.
- Demonstrated capacity to undertake on-farm/local level extension and adoption activities.
- Ability to co-operate with others to achieve organisational and project objectives.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to set, operationalise, and activate strategy into specific actions, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Self-awareness and interpersonal skills to create a collaborative environment.
- Holistic decision-making skills to form sound judgements based on available information.
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5, with a total remuneration package of up to $102,190, comprising base salary and superannuation.
