Purpose of the Consultancy

Family Planning NSW is inviting proposals from qualified contractors to undertake an environmental scan that will guide the formulation of our Strategic Plan. The primary goals of this consultancy are:

  1. To identify external trends, opportunities, and challenges that may influence the services provided by Family Planning NSW in the future.
  2. To deliver a thorough analysis that will support the strategic planning process.
Scope of Work

The environmental scan will encompass, but is not limited to, an examination of the following:

  1. Political Considerations: Evaluation of governmental policies, regulations, and political dynamics that could affect sexual and reproductive health rights in Australia and globally.
  2. Economic Insights: Analysis of economic trends, market conditions, and funding opportunities.
  3. Social Dynamics: Exploration of cultural trends and societal values related to sexual and reproductive health.
  4. Technological Innovations: Assessment of technological advancements and their implications for the delivery of sexual and reproductive health services.
  5. Environmental Challenges: Review of environmental issues, climate change impacts, and sustainability factors.
  6. Legal Framework: Consideration of regulatory requirements that affect the services offered by Family Planning NSW.
  7. Organizational Capacity: Analysis of internal resources, expertise, and organizational culture.

The consultant will be expected to compile a comprehensive report detailing the findings of the environmental scan, along with actionable recommendations for the strategic plan's development. The results of this consultancy will be presented to the Board and Executive during a planning meeting.
