A challenging role has opened for a skilled individual to work as a Hospital Security Officer. This position involves ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within a hospital setting.
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant individual to join our team as a Hospital Security Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by detecting and preventing any suspicious activity, observing and reporting incidents, and providing excellent customer service in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol designated areas on foot or via vehicle to monitor for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, or unusual activity
- Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment regularly
- Screen members, visitors, and employees to expedite their admittance to the facility
- Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency
Requirements:
- Prior experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations is essential
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
