Job Description">

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing targeted safety and security initiatives and ensuring the operational delivery of security services within designated facilities across the region.

The Security Coordinator will have direct supervision of 27 FTE at Ipswich Hospital and 12 FTE at The Park, and will work closely with staff and stakeholders to develop and implement security strategies that promote a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing security policies and procedures;
  • Providing training and guidance to security personnel;
  • Monitoring and reporting on security incidents and trends;
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of security efforts.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • Tertiary qualifications in security and risk management;
  • Experience in organisational change management and leadership;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs;
  • Commitment to service quality and continuous improvement.
